The 3rd International Conference on Marine and Advanced Technologies (ICMAT) 2023

The 3rd International Conference on Marine and Advanced Technologies (ICMAT) 2023 has concluded its event dated August 29, 2023, after conducting a two-day international conference from August 28–29, 2023, which was held at Mercure Penang Beach, Penang. The event has been officiated by Prof. Dr. Kushsairy Abdul Kadir, Deputy President, Academic & Technologies, Universiti Kuala Lumpur.

UniKL MIMET, as an event host, would like to thank Captain Mohamed Halim bin Ahmed, Director General of Marine, Malaysia Marine Department, for being Keynote Speaker 1 and Prof. Ir. R. Sjarief Widjaja, Ph.D., from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, as a second keynote speaker, respectively.

In addition, there were other institutions that participated in this conference, and the representatives came from various universities. Special thanks to Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO), Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPMN), Sarawak Maritime Academy (SMA), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), and Malaysia Marine Department, as well as the representatives from Universiti Kuala Lumpur campuses, for making this conference successful.

There were 70 conference papers accepted for this conference, of which 35 were from Universiti Kuala Lumpur itself.

As a conclusion, UniKL MIMET, as the event host of the 3rd ICMAT 2023 International Conference on Marine and Advanced Technologies, managed to organise the programme successfully with participation from both local and international institutions.
