This program is intended to provide the students with the knowledge, training, and competency necessary to prepare them for the Watchkeeper Certificate of Competency (Motor/Steam) on unlimited voyages in accordance with the Standard of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) 1978 International Convention and Code (The 2010 Manila Amendment) as well as the Merchant Shipping (Training and Certification) 2014 Rules. In addition, the students will be trained and developed to become effective technical entrepreneurs in the field of Marine Engineering, who will be ready to participate in related technopreneurial activities. This program is accredited by Marine Department (MARDEP) Malaysia, Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) Malaysia and the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST) UK.
