MALAYSIA MARINE DEPARTMENT (MMD) DETERMINED TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR HIGHER LEARNING INSTITUTIONS (IPTs) TO DRIVE MADE-IN-MALAYSIA INNOVATIONS
YBhg. Datuk Hj. Dickson bin Dollah, Director General of the Malaysia Marine Department (MMD), made history by officially handing over a hovercraft unit owned by MMD which originally manufactured by Griffon Hoverwork (now known as Griffon Marine) to Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL).
This strategic initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between Government agencies and higher learning institutions, enabling knowledge transfer and capacity building in the field of amphibious vehicle technology. It also supports national efforts to develop Made-in-Malaysia dual-mode (sea and land) transportation solutions. UniKL was represented by Prof. Ir. Dr. Azmi bin Hassan, Deputy President of UniKL.
