ETAC ACCREDITATION VISIT 2018
The Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) assessors have visited UniKL MIMET in February 2018 with the purpose to evaluate the engineering technology programmes offered by our campus.
The objective of the accreditation is to ensure that graduates of the accredited engineering technology programmes satisfy the minimum academic requirements for registration as engineering technologists with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). Another objective of accreditation is to ensure that Continual Quality Improvement (CQI) is being practised by IHL’s, and the accreditation may also serve as a tool to benchmark engineering technology programmes offered by IHLs in Malaysia.
Three (3) bachelor of engineering technology programmes had been assessed:
| Programme | Assessor | Date of Visit |
| 6th – 7th February 2018 | Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons) in Marine Electrical and Electronic |
|
| 12th – 13th February 2018 | Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons) in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding |
|
| 14th – 15th February 2018 | Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons) in Marine Engineering |
|
Accreditation result: The Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) at its meeting held on 17th April 2018 has decided to accord six (6) years accreditation for the above programmes.
